How the golden point is played

Why tournaments adopted it
Advantage games can run for a long time, and a padel match with several of them is hard to schedule around. The golden point puts a ceiling on how long a game can last, which makes draws and television slots predictable.
It also changed how pairs play deuce. There is no room to feel out a long advantage exchange, so the receiving pair's choice of side becomes a real tactical decision: put the ball on the stronger returner, or attack the weaker server's diagonal.
